Can you test our FICM? Yes, if you ship us your FICM, we will test for $25 plus $20 return shipping (also a signature will be required at delivery). If you are local and make an appointment, we can test your FICM in one of our trucks for $25 cash.
What if you find nothing wrong with my FICM when you receive it? We give you the option of our bullet proofing rebuild which prevents future FICM power supply failures and includes our same LIFETIME VOLTAGE WARRANTY or we can test and return for $25 PLUS $20 shipping.
Can all FICM's be repaired? No, some internal electronic components are not able to be repaired or replaced. Because of the sensitivity of the internal electronic components, please call us first if your FICM has been previously worked on by someone or has been disassembled.
Do I need to reprogram the FICM once repaired? No, simply bolt it back in your truck! There are (2) circuit boards in the FICM (Power Supply/ Program Side). The Power Supply side creates the 48 Volts to fully fire the injectors and that is the board we rebuild.
How is the best way to package and ship? As you know, the FICM is very expensive, so please Wrap the FICM connectors in bubble wrap and with plenty of packaging paper or bubble wrap to keep the FICM tight without shifting in the box. Tip: An economical way for 2-3 day priority mail shipping is to put the FICM in a FREE Priority Medium Flat Rate Box #2. Ask your Post Office Clerk for a FRB2 BOX (14"x12"x4") or a Priority 'Shoe Box' size - shipping cost with tracking and $500 shipping insurance is about $20. They also offer Express mail which is faster but costs more. Or if you prefer, use UPS or FedEx to ship to us as well.
What is the turnaround time? We rebuild same day received and ship out Priority Mail Shipping via the U.S. Post Office the next business day.
Where are you located? We are located in The Colony, Texas ZIP 75056.
Can I drop off the FICM for repair if I am local? Yes, please call to make arrangements.
Will you accept personal or business checks (or money orders) as payment? Yes, when enclosed with FICM shipped to us.
What if I buy a FICM from you, but it turns out that I (or my mechanic) misdiagnosed the problem - can I return the FICM for a refund? Sure! Just return it in the same condition received with the pre-paid label we gave you for the core return and we'll give full refund less 20% restocking fee (mostly just covers the UPS shipping fees).
What is the warranty? We provide a lifetime voltage guarantee that the voltage will not drop below 45v.
What does repair include? We repair/rebuild the FICM Power Supply Electronic Circuit Board (which is all that fails 95% of the time) and replace defective components with the highest grade after market components.
What is the HP Upgrade? The upgrade is a software replacement tune by PHP. It is not a "58v upgrade" (which we do not do nor recommend). It provides either 40, 80 or 100 added horse, decreases turbo lag time, 1-3 mpg fuel increase, and helps with cold weather starts. (Works in conjunction with all after market ECM tuners except the Edge Juice).
Should I get the HP Upgrade tune if I tow more than 8,000 lbs regularly? You can however we strongly recommend that you monitor your EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) and have other engine modifications such as larger exhaust etc.
Do you repair smoke, fire, or water damaged units? Typically no, but please call to discuss the extent of the damaged units.
What sets you apart from your competition? Our lead engineer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and has 30 years experience repairing electronic circuitry in the IT field. Our 16 years of Positive Feedback on eBay demonstrates our commitment to customer service.
